Enjoy a day of quiet awareness to deepen your practice. Periods of sitting and walking meditation will be followed by a dharma talk in the afternoon. There will be a question and answer period at the end of the day.
About the Daylong: Retreat will start promptly at 10 am. Please arrive at least 15 min early to settle in. Chairs will be provided. Please bring your own sitting cushion if you prefer. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a vegetarian lunch that does not require heating. Hot water and tea will be provided. All are welcome. Wheelchair accessible. About our Guest Teacher: Randy Baker
Randy Baker began practising Zen meditation in 1977 as a student of Roshi Philip Kapleau. His Zen training included 10 years on staff at the Rochester Zen Center. After practising Zen for 20 years, Randy took up the practice of Vipassana. He has since worked with a number of well-known Western Vipassana teachers. Today, Randy offers a clear and direct approach to the meditation practices of mindfulness and goodwill (metta). He teaches Insight Meditation at Satipañña Insight Meditation Toronto.
